2012 Caring Choir Schedule: Wednesday, February 15th – Life Care, Bus leaves @ 10:30 a.m.; Friday, March 16th – Palm Gardens, Bus leaves @ 10:00 a.m.; Thursday, April 19th – Summerfield Suites, Bus leaves @ 9:30 a.m.; Monday, May 14th – Emeritus West, Bus leaves @10:15 a.m. & Tuesday, June 12th – VFW, Fort McCoy, Bus leaves @ 1:00 p.m.

Morning-Song sings for the 8:30 service – usually the same anthem that the Chancel Choir sings at 11:00 a.m. or a familiar hymn. If you’d like to be a part of this group, please contact Wayne at 537-0207 or wayne@fumcocala.org.

Sunday Morning Announcements must be in the Church Office no later than Tuesdays at Noon in order for the announcement to be made from the Pulpit prior to the beginning of our Sunday morning worship services.

Cherub Choir (VPK-Grade 1) and Kids Choir (Grades 2-5) sing at the 11:00 a.m. worship services on February 12th, March 4th, April 1st (Palm Sunday), April 8th (Easter), April 22nd, and May 13th (Mother’s Day). Youth Choir (Teens) sing/ring in the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services on February 12th, March 18th, April 8th (Easter), April 22nd, and May 13th (Mother’s Day).

Mark your calendars! On Sunday, February 19th at 6:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center the FUMC Praise Band will have a public concert to benefit our Tuesday Morning Outreach Ministries Program. We hope you will join us for a fun evening featuring music of diverse styles and origins that speak to our faith. Everyone is invited, so please invite your friends, co-workers, etc.! Admission is FREE. Childcare for nursery to Pre-K will be provided.

Volunteers are needed! Come join the General Conference 2012 Florida Hospital Team in Tampa, FL on April 24th – May 4th to serve as Airport, Hotel and Convention Center Greeters or Prayer, Worship and Episcopal Support Staff. TUESDAY MORNING OUTREACH - We are in need of blankets, men’s clothing, coats and shoes. Please drop your donations off at the Family Life Center on Tuesday mornings between 10:00 a.m. to Noon

Bikes for the homeless...We have more than 50 requests for bikes from many of our Tuesday morning visitors. Most of those requests come from homeless men and women who are either looking for work or are coping with some kind of disability. A bike would make their lives so much easier. After placing 30 bikes over the Christmas season (thanks to so many good-hearted folks!) we find our bike source all but gone. So we are asking for your help. If you could donate a bike (either new or used) please bring it to the Family Life Center on Tuesday mornings between 10:00 a.m. to Noon. We have two volunteers from those whom we have helped in the past able to make minor repairs on sight. Thank you in advance to everyone who is able to help in this way.
